“We are Looking for a Few Good Social Workers”

As part of a national association, we are governed by one legal board at the national level. State Boards of Directors are programmatic boards charged with ensuring that state activities align with the national direction. NASW-Kansas Chapter is operated by volunteers and one part-time paid Executive Director.

Thank you to the countless social workers over several decades who have dedicated substantial time and energy to ensure Kansas has a professional association that provides support, education, and voice for social work.

LEAN IN : Become a Chapter Leader

Holding an elected position in our organization is meaningful.  You have the opportunity to use your voice, share the experience of your colleagues and friends and help set the vision for our Chapter.  It's also a fantastic way to build your leadership skills, learn new things and develop as a well-rounded professional. On top of those benefits, serving on the Board of Directors or on a committee qualifies you to receive CEUs for your service.

Board terms are for two years and elections occur in May/June. The Board meetings occur on a quarter basis and meetings are in-person and virtual.
